 Character Synopsis

Goku impressed the old man that he was able to defeat Yamcha. Yamcha praises Jackie for the win as they go backstage and Jackie tells him that he is still young so he has plenty of time to get stronger. Yamcha is still thinking about the old man and meanwhile Namu and Ran-Fan were called to the ring. Jackie tells Namu that he’s jealous that he’s going against the pichi-pichi girl, but Namu remains serious and silent. Wondering what his story is, Jackie reads his mind and learns that he comes from a poor desert village with no rain. Namu intends to use the reward from the Tenka’ichi Budōkai to buy water for his village. Jackie realizes that his story is definitely not for “gag manga”.
The announcer calls for the third match to start and Ran-Fan winks at Nam before kicking him in the face. He then punches him in the back and Namu barely jumps out of the way before he can land another kick. He prepares to swing at her and she yelps so he just lightly taps her arm. Ran-Fan sits up and starts to cry, and Namu asks her if she’s okay. But she was just faking it and punched Nam hard in the stomach. She hits him again, but he grabs her little girlish fist and prepares to attack her. He will no longer think of her as a woman. Ran-Fan is worried, so he puts on a cute face, but it doesn’t fall. Namu turns on her and she barely skips.
