Character Synopsis
Jackie and Goku keep lunging at each other and both jump into the air and kick each other in the face. The announcer starts counting as it looks like a double knockout. One two three four five six seven eight nine ten! Neither Goku nor Jackie get up, so the announcer says that this event will be sudden death until someone gets up and says, “Yūshō shita mon nē” (I am the champion). Goku slowly stands up and Jackie is a step behind him. Goku smirks and slowly says, “Yu… Yūshō…shita…mo…n…” But before he can finish he falls back still smiling.
Jackie finally gets up and he tries to say, “Yu…Yu…Yu…” He then gets down on one knee, takes a victory stance, and calls a full line. The announcer announces Jackie as the winner of the Tenka’ichi Budōkai. Jackie thinks it must have been because he has longer legs so his kick was more effective. Goku slowly wakes up and realizes that he is lost. He asks Jackie if they can fight again when he trains and gets stronger, and Jackie agrees.
