Summary

After the pterodactyl incident, Gokū and Bulma ride their motorbikes until late in the evening. Bulma stops and decides it would be the perfect place to camp. Using one of her many capsules, Bulma materializes a Capsule House for her and Goku to sleep in. Inside, Gokū is overwhelmed by modern technology such as electric lighting and television, and still believes that what Bulma is doing is magic. Amused by Goku’s curiosity, he catches Goku’s whiff and declares that he needs a bath. However, Gokū is unfamiliar with this concept. Since Goku doesn’t know what a bath is, Bulma decides to give him a bath herself. The bath ends with a terrifying surprise for young Bulma, who discovers that Goku’s tail is in fact real. Bulma assumes that all men have tails because Gokū was the first male she saw naked, but when Gokū says that his grandfather never had a tail, the girl decides that normal guys don’t have tails and Gokū is just weird. Bulma goes to take a bath alone, but Gokū bursts in and decides that instead of tails, the girls have “extra bums” (referring to Bulma’s breasts). Irritated, Bulma asks Gokū how old he is, and Gokū states that he is “14”. Bulma forcibly kicks Goku out of the bathroom because he is only two years younger than her. At dinner, Goku doesn’t like the food Bulma has prepared and goes out to grab his own dinner instead. The boy returns with a slain wolf hanging on the Nyoibō and a centipede to taste him. Bulma reacts horrified and leaves Gokū alone to cook him dinner, despite his insistence that she try something. Before they go to bed, Gokū assumes that he will sleep with Bulma since he was using his grandfather as a pillow. Bulma tells him that he’s sleeping on the floor and if he “does anything” he’s dead. The conversation instead turns to their families, and Gokū reveals that he doesn’t remember what happened to his father and mother, assuming they simply abandoned him on Earth and his grandfather found him and kept it. Bulma is surprised that Gokū can casually mock the subject, but decides that they more than likely abandoned the boy because of his tail. Gokū in turn assumes that she was abandoned because of the ‘second ass’ on her chest. Bulma quickly corrects him, saying that she’s on vacation from school and accidentally took advantage of the situation, leaving her with only 30 days to actually find the Dragon Balls. However, Gokū fell asleep during her explanation, leaving Bulma displeased. As dawn breaks, Gokū is the first to wake up and sees Bulma sleeping, and when she sees her underwear exposed, she decides to try her “pillow”. Lying between her legs, Gokū is confused and after removing Bulma’s underwear, discovers that she lacks male genitalia and is horrified as she has “lost her balls”. His surprise wakes up Bulma, who assumes he meant the Dragon Balls. Desperate to check, Bulma finds them where she left them and tells Goku to stop having the bad nightmares that scare her. A dark shadow Umigame is then seen approaching the capsule house.
