Summary

Karin tells Goku that God will test him, though he needn’t worry because he won’t die. With Nyoibō, Gokū rushes to God’s palace, with Karin ominously remarking behind his back that God’s face will look familiar to the boy.
Gokū connects with the palace and climbs the ladder, and is greeted not by God, but by a being. who introduces himself as God’s servant, Mr. Popo. Because Gokū defeated Piccolo and has the bell to symbolize him as the chosen one, he is eligible to try the test – defeat Mr. Pop in battle.
Despite his confidence, Gokū is unable to hit Mr. Pop, who decides that Gokū is weak. With little effort, Mr. Popo defends Goku, declaring him too weak to meet God and that he should simply return home.
