Summary
The next match is Yamcha vs Shen, older gentlemen who many people doubt can actually fight. While the others are convinced that Yamcha will do it, both Yajirobe and Gokū are suspicious. As the fight begins, Shen is able to trip, land a blow on Yamcha and crouch to avoid the blow, standing up in time to strike Yamcha in the groin. These repeated accidents embarrass Yamcha, but amuse the crowd.
Shen finally drops the facade and tells Yamcha that he will seriously fight. Accordingly, he delivers a swift and crushing blow against Yamche. Shen lectures Yamcha about judging him by his looks because that was a mistake he made, and lectures Yamcha only because the man has great talent. Yamcha apologizes for his mistakes, but since he doesn’t like Shen’s attitude, he claims that he will win. However, Shen claims that he is the one who must win and continues the battle as training.
