Summary:
Goku suddenly stops and asks if they should be Super Saiyans first. Old Kaiōshin says there’s no point, they can do it later. Furthermore, the stress would be too much for their bodies and shorten their lifespan. However, you can only use the Potara once per lifetime. Goku asks him if he ever used them. He explains that an ugly old witch married one to try to be a pretty girl, which is why she can do these mysterious things. Kaiōshin interrupts them, saying that there is no time to talk. Goku agrees and quickly teleports away.
Boo prepares to attack while Gohan, Tenshinhan and Dende are all in shock. Satan on the other hand closes his eyes and fires his weapon, apologizing to Majin Boo. Goku suddenly appears behind Bo and throws a Kienzan, cutting Bo in half and cutting off the end of his front. Gohan wonders how his father could have returned to the world of the living. Satan opens his eyes and thinks he cut Boo’s body open with that shot. Bo’s upper body recognizes Goku as the guy with all the weird transformations. Boo says there’s no point when he comes to help. Goku smirks and very confidently tells Boo that he is wrong because this time he has an incredible power up item. Landing on the ground behind Tenshinhan, Boo’s lower body rose up and kicked Tenshinhan hard, knocking him out. Boo’s lower and upper body rejoin and Boo smugly comments that even though the guy looked like quite the expert, he was still just a small fry that was taken out with just a kick. The rest are also small fries. Goku questions why he would bother with the restoration if that was indeed the case.
Boo thinks Goku must really want to die. Goku yells at Gohan and throws a second Potara at him, but Gohan doesn’t pay attention and misses. The earring falls among some nearby rocks and Goku tells him to hurry up and find it, then put it on his right ear so they can team up and defeat Boo. However, Boo thinks it would still be useless, but won’t let them bond anyway. He kills Goku first, but Goku begs him to wait while Gohan searches the rocks. Boo lunges at Goku, becoming Super Saiyan 3 and preparing to fight. Boo then suddenly stops mid-air just as Gohan finds Potara. Boo begins to transform again until he resembles Piccolo. Goku laughs and thinks it’s because Piccolo is now the strongest inside of Boo since the youths defused. Goku is disappointed that now Gohan alone can defeat Boo like this.
Boo smirked and said he had an insurance plan, just in case. Goku wonders what he means and Boo points to his front spot that he didn’t bother to restore. The severed piece down on the ground then turns into a drop and suddenly surrounds Gohan. Potara falls to the ground and Goku flies over and grabs her as Boo begins to transform again. Kaiōshin thinks it’s all over now as Boo is now wearing Gohan’s dōgi. Goku starts looking around frantically. “I wanted to fuse with Gohan… There’s no way around it!! Who else could I fuse with… Tenshinhan’s down… Dende’s not a fighter… Lord Satan…?!”
