Summary:
Dodoria climbs ashore, angry that it was Vegeta who surprised him. Vegeta says that he and Zarbon are always with Freeza and he was waiting for them to separate. Dodoria laughs and tells him to hand over the scout and get lost. Vegeta realizes that all their scouts are gone and laughs. They didn’t know when he was close, so his chance finally came. He says he only took this explorer to see how many days it would take to get to Namek, so if Dodoria wants him… Vegeta takes him off and drops him on the ground, and Dodoria says he must be scared; he might be able to save Vegeta’s life if he’s lucky. But then Vegeta smirks and gets on the scouter. Dodoria freaks out and asks why, and Vegeta says he has no use for it anymore.
Dodoria says he also wants to find the Dragon Balls right, so wouldn’t he need it to find the location of the Namekians or Freeza? Vegeta says that he learned on Earth how to find out an enemy’s location and strength without a scout. It’s simple, Vegeta continues, and you can’t tell the strength of people like Freeza with the naked eye. “But then I’ve been like that too until now. Dodoria realizes that the little dwarves from earlier must have been earthlings and Vegeta bonded with them. Vegeta doubts that Earthlings could be here, but Dodoria says that it doesn’t matter and that he will kill Vegeta.
Vegeta asks what he’s afraid of and then realizes that he must have noticed how much stronger than Kewi he was during their fight. Vegeta questions his own fighting strength and Dodoria shouts that it was a mistake and the scout failed. Dodoria then gets really pissed off and fires a bunch of blasts at Vegeta, blowing up the entire area. But then Vegeta appears behind Dodoria and says that the technique seems useless. Dodoria turns back to punch Vegeta, but Vegeta grabs his arm. Dodoria kicks him, but Vegeta turns and grabs the other arm, now holding both of Dodoria’s arms behind him. Vegeta tells him that he isn’t strong enough to fight a Saiyan, explaining that he got immense power from being on the brink of death on Earth. “It’s a fighting race, Saiyan!!!”
Vegeta tells Dodoria that he neglected it and tells him to die and be reborn. “Wait Vegeta!! I-If you let me go right now, I’ll tell you a secret…!! About your Saiyan Planet, Planet Vegeta…!!” Vegeta then lets him go and tells him to tell him his secret about Planet Vegeta. Dodoria says he’ll probably kill him if he tells him and Vegeta says he’ll kill him right now if he doesn’t. Dodoria says he wasn’t a meteorite that destroyed their planet. Freeza felt that the Saiyans were becoming too troublesome in their large numbers and if there were too many of them like Vegeta, they would stop being so obedient and obeying orders. So Freeza took it upon himself to destroy Planet Vegeta.
Dodoria tells Vegeta that he should be grateful. Since he was a prince and had genius powers, Freeza felt he could use him and waited until Vegeta was off the planet to destroy it. Vegeta remains silent and Dodoria laughs that it must have been a big shock and says that’s why he’s happy to be on Freeza’s side. “Don’t get me wrong, Dodoria. I don’t care about my planet or allies or parents or anything… I’m just mad at myself for using me as a brat without knowing it…!” Dodoria freaks out and starts to fly away. But Vegeta fires a huge blow at him with one hand and kills him. “Freeza fears the endless potential of a Saiyan…!” Vegeta says as Goku continues his thrusts on his ship.
