Summary:
Trunks finishes powering up and says that this is his true power. Cell says, “Indeed. That is certainly a great ‘power’. Totally bigger than my own. But you can’t win against me with that. Definitely not.” Thinking he’s just bluffing, Trunks attacks Cell. Up in the God’s Palace, Piccolo comments on how his ki is incredibly, much greater than Cell’s. Bulma asks who should explain if he’s not going to watch silently himself . He tells her it’s Trunks and she gets excited. In the Room of Spirit and Time, Gohan is a Super Saiyan, now with much shorter hair and training. Goku sits up and looks up at him in a bit of surprise. Gohan floats up in the air, thinking , that his father sat there like this every day, and concluded that it must be really hard to beat a Super Saiyan.
Gohan lands, de-transforms and gasps. Then Goku gets up and turns Super Saiyan. He powers up until he’s equal to the level Vegeta was at. Gohan is amazed that he has already surpassed Super Saiyan. Goku says that it is possible to transform to the next stage. He turns back on, even bulkier, to Trunks’ level. Gohan says that he could definitely win against Cell this way. Speaking of Cell, he dodges a punch and a kick from Trunks and then another punch. He keeps dodging all of Trunk’s attacks and then lands. Goku says you can’t win with that. If you want to bulk up that much, your muscles and strength will really increase, but it will kill your speed. It also consumes too much power. For balance, a regular Super Saiyan is best. Goku says that they will try to be Super Saiyan at all times, except when sleeping, and that will be the basis of their training. Trunks wonders why he can’t hit him. Cell says that Trunks is really green and this transformation depends only on strength. Then Cell perks up too and says how easy it is.
