Summary:
Everyone is shocked by Gohan's power, except Goku. Piccolo can't believe it's Gohan, while Vegeta wonders how the brat could gain such immense fighting power. Cell says that Son Goku was right about Gohan being strong, but he exaggerated that he could beat Cell. And Son Goku's son will die because of his bad guess. Cell lands and turns his attention to Gohan. He kicks Gohan but Gohan blocks it. Cell retreats, then attacks Gohan, but Gohan jumps out of the way. Cell turns to follow him and goes to kick, but Gohan dodges. They both land and then Cell grabs Gohan by the shirt and smacks him hard in the head. He then punches Gohan in the face before blowing him up. Cell uses a shockwave to send Gohan over some mountains. Kuririn and Trunks are worried, and Chi-Chi, who is at home watching TV with Gyūmaō, passes out.
The announcer wonders what's going on. They said they were going to eat rice, but instead there is a boy who challenges Cell. Piccolo blames it all on Goku and his naivety, saying that he is the one who killed Gohan. Goku tells him to calm down, Gohan's ki didn't drop at all and Kuririn and Trunks noticed as well. Cell says the lame joke is over, now he wants Son Goku to eat the senzu and come back to fight again. But Goku tells Cell to look behind him. Cell turns and Gohan emerges from the wreckage, barely damaged. Cell is very surprised to see him. Gohan says, “Let's stop it. There's no point in fighting like that." Cell laughs and says that the Cell Games have a lot of meaning: for him it's fun, for them it's to save Earth. "The truth is, I don't want to fight. I don't want to kill. Not even a horrible person like you. I don't love fighting like my father."
Kuririn and the others can't hear what Gohan is saying. Cell says he knew Gohan didn't like fighting, but he had no idea Gohan didn't want to kill him. He says Gohan couldn't kill him in a hundred years. “I'm slowly starting to understand what my father meant by me being the only one who can defeat Cell. When I got angry, I became incredibly powerful beyond my own will and started fighting really crazy. So it must be what my father found out." Cell thinks Gohan said all this to try to scare him, but instead he tries to make Gohan angry. He then proceeds to punch Gohan in the face.
