Summary:
Kuririn says that the artificial people think it’s all just a game, but they’re coming to kill Goku anyway. Gohan asks if they are really that strong, and Kuririn says that they are much stronger than in Trunks’ time. Yamcha, piloting the plane, asks what they are doing now, but Kuririn doesn’t really know. Trunks says that now that he knows where Dr. Gero’s lab is, he could go back in time and destroy the artificial humans before they are activated. Kuririn says that the time machine isn’t perfect and wonders if he goes back in time, he could actually go back to his own future. Gohan interjects and asks, even if Trunks comes back and destroys the Artificial Humans, what will happen, will the Artificial Humans just disappear? Trunks says, “Oh yeah, I forgot! Surely, even if I went to the past and destroyed the artificial humans, the future of this world would be saved. But in this world where artificial humans have already been activated, nothing will change!”
Kuririn doesn’t understand. “Well… Son Goku for example: I brought him medicine from the future for his heart disease and it saved his life. But in my world, Goku was someone who died of heart disease in the past. In other words, if there is a future where Goku was saved, there is also a future where he died. If you do just a little, there can be many futures.” Kuririn questions that even if Goku defeated the Artificial Humans here, the Artificial Humans in his future would still exist, and Trunks says yes. Yamcha questions why he even bothered to come to the past. “My mother… She heard about all the killing of artificial people. She said a peaceful future where they were defeated would be nice. But my number one goal was to find their weak point while watching Goku fight artificial humans. If not, Goku could come to my future and defeat them. So it was…”
“However, for whatever reason, I ended up in a past a little different than the one I know. The timing of Goku’s heart disease is different, now there are three artificial humans and their power is even greater.” Gohan wonders why it’s changed like that. Trunks doesn’t know for sure, except that it’s because of him coming into the time machine. Chi- Chi asks what makes him feel bad, if he hadn’t come, Goku would have died and she’s thankful for that. Elsewhere, Vegeta is standing on top of a mountain in some rocky desert. He suddenly turns Super Saiyan and yells “DAMN IIIIT!!!!” He’s still powering up , until all the rock formations collapse, then he stops, “A Super Saiyan isn’t completely invincible?! What the hell? This situation…!! To be beaten like this…!! I’m the most elite Saiyan prince. If he could be a Super Saiyan , who should be the greatest in the entire universe…? Since my opponents were artificial humans, is this my limit?”
Vegeta pauses for a minute. “No!! That’s not it!! I’m Vegeta!! No matter how strong the enemy is, I’ll go even higher!! Watch me overcome it, no doubt… And Kakarrot… When I defeat the artificial Guys, it’s your turn.” In their van, Number 18 asks Number 17 if he even knows where Son Goku is. #17 assumes they could get information along the way, and #18 sighs. Number 16 suddenly says, “Goku’s son’s house is in the mountain village of East District 439.” #17 asks if he heard it from Dr. Gero, and he did. #16 suggests they fly and #18 thinks he’s making good points, this car business is pointless. #17 says what they say is pointless, he says it’s fun.
The others are almost at Muten Roshi Island and someone says to tell Bulma the situation. Kuririn doesn’t really want to and tells Trunks that she’s pretty mean. Trunks laughs and says she won’t be different in the future. Kuririn gets to the walkie-talkie and calls her, and when she picks it up, she screams and asks if she’s safe. She wants to know where she’s calling from because she tried to call Goku’s house after Gohan got home but no one answered. He then wants to know where future Trunks is. Kuririn says he’s here and plugs the phone into the speakers. Bulma says that someone found a strange vehicle while walking in the mountains a few days ago and wanted to keep it, but didn’t know how to start it, so he called Capsule Corp and asked how. It definitely had “Capsule Corporation” written on its body, though it didn’t look like one of their products. So they asked (Capsule Corp) for a photo.
Bulma says she was shocked when she saw the photo because it looked like Trunks’ time machine and it was all broken. Trunks says that’s not possible, he returned the time machine to his capsule, which is here with him. Bulma thought not because this one looks really old and then asks how many time machines her future self has made. Trunks says only one. Bulma thinks it’s impossible and decides to fax the photo to them. Trunks freaks out when the photo arrives. It’s definitely his time machine, but all broken and covered in moss.
