 Summary:

The eldest says that almost all the children were killed because of those villains. And he is aware that they are after the Dragon Balls. One needs proof of wisdom and strength on the planet Namek to obtain the Dragon Balls, and cannot believe that the Balls of Hope would be used for such evil things. Kuririn says to be quite honest, he wants to know if he can’t have the ball over his head. (One Star Ball sits in the eldest’s chair.) Kuririn promises not to let the villains do that. Dende thinks that Kuririn should be allowed to do so as well so that their Earth Dragon Balls can be revived. The Eldest can’t believe that there are also Dragon Balls on Earth and asks if there is a Namekian. Kuririn explains that he escaped to Earth when that planet was in danger. The eldest realizes that it was Katattsu’s child and is surprised that the young child was able to survive on its own. “That child was surely a prodigy of the dragon clan who can make dragon balls…”
The oldest says the genius must have died or at least been killed? Kuririn says he was killed by Vegeta, a Saiyan who came here. The eldest asks if the Saiyan who made the dragon clan genius was a Super Saiyan. Kuririn doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and the eldest asks him to come a little closer so he can dig a little into his past. He places his hand on Kuririn’s head and begins to search his thoughts. He soon realizes that the genius has split in half, thus halving his power. He tells Kuririn that his wish is real and takes down the one star ball and hands it to him. He says that they might not be able to grant this wish, and Kuririn asks why. Eldest explains that he only has a few days left to live, and when he dies, the Dragon Ball will disappear. At least the bad guys can’t use them though. Kuririn then vows to protect this orb with his life and prevent them from being granted eternal life. The eldest tells him to please do it because he can’t even move anymore and he doubts even Nail would be able to protect him if Frieza came here.
Then the eldest tells Kuririn that he has great power over the earthling. However, he still has some extra sleep power and would like to bring it to him. The eldest places a hand on Kuririn’s head and Kuririn ponders the idea that he could get the energy without training. He’s really excited when all this new power suddenly flows through him, he says he feels like he’s been reborn. He thanks the eldest and asks if it wouldn’t be too difficult to induce a dormant power in a young child, or would it shorten his lifespan? The oldest says it wouldn’t be a problem since it’s not related to his lifespan. Kuririn then asks if he could bring one more friend and the oldest says yes because you can never have too many strong good guys. Kuririn says he’s leaving immediately, but then asks what he’s supposed to do with the Dragon Ball. The eldest says to stick with it because the future lies in their hands. Kuririn tells Dende to wait here and says he’ll be back with Gohan soon. Then Kuririn approaches back to the cave.
Meanwhile, back at the cave, Gohan and Bulma are out of it and Bulma is looking at the Dragon Radar and calling out to Gohan. He says that the dragon ball there has started to move and is coming towards them. So Kuririn must have it and be on his way back. They then spot another Dragon Ball, separate from Kuririn and Freeza’s five. Gohan looks in that direction and realizes it’s the one from the village Vegeta attacked. But he can’t feel Vegeta’s ki there anymore. Bulma thinks he must have attacked the village and couldn’t find the Dragon Ball, so he leaves. Gohan asks her for the radar so he can find him and then flies off towards the village. Back on Freeza’s ship, Vegeta is recovering in the healing machine. Zarbon and Appule watch over him and Zarbon leaves to update Freeza. Appule approaches the tank and begins taunting Vegeta when Vegeta suddenly opens his eyes and shoots through the glass of the tank, killing Appule. Zarbon and Freeza hear the noise and run back into the room. He sees a hole in the side of the ship and thinks he escaped. However, it was only a decoy and Vegeta escapes by ship and finds the room with the Dragon Balls.
