Summary:
A small plane lands and Chi-Chi immediately runs out, jumping over Goku and heading straight for Gohan. “Gohan-chan!!! Gohan-chan!!! You’re okay!!! Stick together!!! Mom’s here!!!” Kuririn tells her that Gohan is fine, but it is Goku who is in very bad shape. Chi-Chi says that she won’t let him leave her side again so that no more bad things happen to him, while Kuririn mumbles more about Goku. Kuririn goes to Goku where Bulma, Karin and Kame-Sen’nin are when Goku tells them that the Saiyan escaped. Kuririn tells Bulma that Yamcha, as well as all but the four of them, were killed.
Bulma isn’t worried because they’ll just use the dragon balls to revive them again in a year. But Goku reveals to her that Piccolo is dead, which means God is dead and the Dragon Balls are gone. Bulma says that must be a lie. Four of them survive, and since they can only see Gohan, Goku, and Kuririn, the fourth must be Piccolo! But then Yajirobe comes up behind her and says he is the fourth. Bulma can’t believe it and starts lamenting that Yamcha is dead. Kame-Sen’nin can’t believe he survived through Piccolo and then asks Yajirobe if they would like him better if he was Piccolo. Yajirobe continues that if it wasn’t for him, the other three wouldn’t be alive right now. Karin silences Yajirobe and says that they have to get the injured to the hospital because there is no senzu left.
Everyone is back on the plane and it is now night outside, Kame-Sen’nin is piloting while Bulma is still crying. Kuririn directs him towards everyone’s dead bodies and tells Bulma not to cry because he has incredible news – maybe there is a way to bring everyone killed by the Saiyan back to life. Goku remembers that Kuririn said something like that before and wants him to tell them about it. But Kuririn says he’ll have to wait since they’ve arrived where everyone’s bodies are, and tells Muten Roshi to land.
They gather everyone, except for Chiaotzu, who Kuririn explains blew himself up, leaving no remains. Kame-Sen’nin is really pissed looking at the bodies in the cooling units, and Bulma says she’ll pilot this time because she’s the more level-headed one this time. Some time passes and then Gohan wakes up. He wonders what he’s doing here on his mother’s lap and asks about the Saiyan. Kuririn explains that everything is fine and he ran away. Gohan asks about his father and Goku says he’s behind him. Yajirobe asks Chi-Chi why she is only worried about her son and not her husband. He yells at him that it was Goku’s fault that Gohan was hurt by the villains, and Gohan insists that it wasn’t. He cares more about the future of Gohan than the future of Earth. Yajirobe asks Goku if it’s okay to hit her.
Bulma then asks Kuririn to explain what he mentioned earlier. “It seems that the two Saiyans learned about the dragon balls from Goku’s older brother’s radio and that they are granting wishes… They came here to get the dragon balls.” But then they said something strange when they saw Piccolo’s face… “He’s a Namekian.” Piccolo and God seem to be aliens… What they said next was more important… “So that line about Planet Namek having a mysterious an orb that grants any wish it must be true… So then we can just go to planet Namek.” Yajirobe doesn’t believe it, but Gohan says that he also heard that the Namekians created the mysterious orbs.
So Kuririn says that if they somehow managed to get to Planet Namek, they could probably find the Dragon Balls there and they could all come back to life. Gohan is excited that Piccolo will be back as well. Kuririn says that it would also bring God back and the dragon balls would also be restored here! But Bulma doesn’t like to tell him that she’s just dreaming. She asks him how he will find out where this planet is. Goku says that he will turn to Kaiō to ask about the location since he knows for sure.
