Dragon Ball Manga Vol.9 Chapter 108: Son Gohan

   

 Summary

As Gokū writhes in pain as Gohan rips off his tail, Kame-Sennin comments on the fact that the young boy's weakness is gone, while the rest of the dragon team is stunned at the sight of Gokū's grandfather dead. An angry Gokū prepares to attack Gohan, unaware that the young boy is a masked man, prompting Gokū's grandfather to surrender.

When Gokū achieves victory, Gohan praises his grandson for his vastly improved strength and comments on how Gokū has forgotten his weakness. This leads Gokū to realize that he was fighting his own grandfather, who unmasked him. After Gokū tearfully and happily hugs his grandfather, he asks if the Kame-Sennin trained him, which Gokū confirms, leading his grandfather to humbly address his former master.

Gokū has impression that his grandfather is alive again and therefore can live with him again, but Gohan corrects him by informing Gokū and everyone else that Uranai Baba is able to move between the world of the living and the underworld and that he is still dead but can one day to dwell on earth. Bulma questions if Gohan meeting Goku was just a coincidence, but Kame-Sennin informs her that his sister Uranai Baba knew the Dragon Team would be on their way, leading Baba to further explain that Gohan asked her to tell him , when the boy with a tail appeared.

Since Gohan doesn't mind that Gokū trained under his former master Kame-Sennin, Gohan asks the turtle hermit behind his grandson's back if Gokū has been turning into a monkey lately, but Kame-Sennin assures him that everything has been fine since then. the hermit destroyed the moon. Gokū then shows his grandfather the four-star Dragon Ball he left for Gokū, and Gohan wonders why there were more when he saw that Gokū had five more.

After Gohan learns of Goku's adventures to until then, Kulilin is convinced that Upa will have his father resurrected using the Dragon Balls. As Gohan drives back to the Afterworld, Uranai Baba keeps his word and shows the Dragon Team the location of the seventh and final Dragon Ball, which is found to be in the car.
