 Summary

While Taopaipai seemingly kills Gokū and obtains the Dragon Balls, an enraged Upa decides to throw a rock at the killer, only to retaliate and knock the child to the ground. Taopaipai, much to the surprise of Commander Red, who had been following his movements, went to town to get new clothes to replace his damaged ones from his encounter with Gokū.
While the tailor tells the assassin that the new clothes should be ready within a week, displeased Taopaipai threatens the tailor to do it in three days and informs Red that he will be back at that time. Frustrated, Red informs Taopaipai that he only found three dragon balls in the killer's possession instead of four, and Taopaipai tells him that he will retrieve the remaining orb before he returns.
After Upa buries his father and tries to do the same to Goku, he the young boy awakens to reveal that the four-star Dragon Ball Gokū was carrying protected him from death at the hands of Taopaipaia. When Gokū thinks his grandfather saved him, Upa laments the loss of his father, leading Gokū to decide to re-collect all seven Dragon Balls to revive Upa's father. he took the Dragon Balls into his possession, much to Goku's frustration at facing an enemy with such unprecedented power. Upa then suggests that Gokū climb to the top of the Karin Tower to drink the holy water and gain exponential power. Overnight and into the next morning, Gokū eventually reaches the top of the tower.
