Summary

Three years later, in the rain, Muten Rōshi and Lunch are waiting for their friends in the rain. He stops the car and Bulma, Puar and Oolong get out. Rōshi is thrilled to see how she has grown and feels for Bulma, only to have his face smashed. Neither Oolong nor Bulma know because Yamcha just left to train - much to Bulma's dismay. Rōshi realizes how much Gokū Kuririn and Yamcha have been affected.

A strange man in a turban with an umbrella approaches the Dragon Team and greets them as if he knows them. The party present is completely surprised as they don't believe that the tall man in front of them was actually little Goku. When the rain stops, Gokū takes off his turban to reveal his signature hairstyle.

Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Kuririn, and Chaoz walk in and greet their friends. When Kuririn sees Goku, he runs to hug his best friend, and Yamcha and Tenshinhan are surprised to see how much Goku has grown. As registration time approaches, Gokū and Kuririn ask if Muten Rōshi has their uniforms. However, Rōshi says that they are independent fighters and don't need to wear his colors, but wishes his former students luck.

Kuririn reveals that when he figured their teacher wouldn't make them a uniform, he should have made it for himself. However, Gokū and Yamcha all thought in a similar way, and Muten Rōshi's students once again wear his colors. Yamcha notices that Gokū had his tail removed and Gokū confirms that God removed it, saying that he wants to bring back the moon and that Gokū's tail is limiting his progress. Sensing a presence in the tournament, the martial artist turns to see a face both he and Tenshinhan recognize: Piccolo.
