Summary
As the Dragon Team heads to the One-Star Dragon Ball, Bulma reveals her goal of using the seven Dragon Balls to make a friend’s wish, earning Oolong’s ridicule. As Bulma and Oolong argue, a woman watches them from atop a tall mushroom and informs her boss, Pilaf, and another partner, Soba, of the Dragon Team’s whereabouts. Gokū and friends are later ambushed by a machine controlled by Soba, leading the Dragon Team to lose possession of the Dragon Balls. At Bulma’s request, Gokū uses his Kintoun to attempt to retrieve the stolen Dragon Balls, only to find the machine empty and return to inform Bulma of his inability to find the Dragon Balls.
Bulma, brimming with confidence, realizes that she still has one Dragon Ball and can use the capsules she obtained to replace the vehicle that was damaged in the ambush, only to remember that she left the remaining capsules with the bag containing the stolen Dragon Balls. This forces Yamcha and Pu’ar, who have been watching from afar, to help the Dragon Team, much to the team’s delight that he is reunited with Yamcha. After the Dragon Team pursues the woman and Reindeer, the two thieves confer with Emperor Pilaf in his castle, who then discovers that the last Dragon Ball is approaching them. As the dragon team tries to sneak into the castle, they come across a dead end that ends up being a trap, much to Pilaf’s disbelief that he has fallen for such an obvious trap.
